I’m a Freelance Backend Engineer with over 8 years of experience.

About Me

After graduating with a Master in Computer Science from RWTH Aachen University in 2017 I joined an upcoming start-up as Machine Learning Engineer, where I focused on natural language processing and web scraping.

Fast-forward to today, and I’ve had the privilege of working at Europe's finest IT Consultancy, leading the backend team during the hyper-growth phase of a Berlin based fashion brand, and building the technology department of one of the most established Venture Capital firms in Europe.

In November 2023 I made the switch from working as a fulltime employee to working as a Freelancer. My first Freelance engagement was with the Munich based startup Mirror Health where I developed and owned a backend service to power the challenge-feature within the Sugar mobile app.

My second and most recent Freelance engagement was within the AI team of payment provider Klarna where I, in a team with two other devs, developed an internal tool to certify Klarna's employees regarding knowledge around financial regulations around the world.
